A Day at a Time

We fit in a bit more play in the snow, and then the fun came to a halt yesterday with a trip to the doctor on rather treacherous roads. Ruby thought it would be fun to come down with a horrible case of Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease. Just when the snow is clearing up, we'll be housebound many more days while she's contagious. Poor girl is covered in rashy, blistery bumps.

Also "fun" was discovering a neighbor's (small) tree had fallen on the roof over Ruby's room. Todd was out cutting that with a chainsaw this morning.

*The text alignment is so off on this, oops!

Fun play times
energetic, cooped up boy
frustrating, tiring
sweet snuggly girl
precious family
patient, selfless husband
God's grace that this has been a wonderful, memorable week.....and we're still smiling!

Couldn't bring myself to wipe her nose when her face feels so bad already!

Neighbor's tree coming over for a visit.

  1. Not very many little girls could be so darn cute even with a yucky rash. You are so right - cherish the unexpected time together despite the disruption!
